Lioncrest Online Academy

Our Online Academy is a Teacher-driven Schooling program that is part of the Lioncrest Academy based in Visakhapatnam, India. This program runs parallel with the program in the Physical School and shares the experience of having children who are also part of the in-person experience at the Academy in Vizag.

Community

We build community through our strong relationships we build with our inquiry-based program. Our children interact with each other and build strong social skills. We also have an option for the Online Academy students to come for a Science and Sports Camp which happens for a week each half of the year. Children have an opportunity to meet other students and these memories last for a long time.

Accreditation

The pathway for online students is such that they can learn online and get a Certificate that has a Physical School Validity. Presently we serve children of Grades 1 - 5 using our IB-inspired Inquiry-Based Learning program and for Grades 6-8 We follow the Cambridge Curriculum. We will add grades 9-12 as the student strength grows to those grade levels. When your child graduates with us from Grade 12 they will receive a Cambridge Accredited Certificate which is the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16-year-olds. Not only is it truly international - it gives students more options than any other international qualification. That means more subjects to choose from, more ways to learn, and more ways to succeed.  to study in any University in the world. (You can read more about the Cambridge here. Your child will have to write the board exams (Grades 10&12)  in person and will get our physical school certificate, not an online school certificate.

How this Runs:

This Program runs using Apple Technology with their iPads that are safely managed by our IT staff connecting to our classrooms. We have created the online experience to be engaging and interactive through the help of various apps and collaboration with our in-person students. The class runs a full day and keeps the child engaged.

Who this is for:

The Lioncrest Online Academy option primarily helps 4 kinds of parents.

1. Those who can’t access to quality International Curriculum

   • Many of our Lioncrest Online Academy community live in areas that do not have access to quality education. Many of our parents are living in towns and villages where access to quality academia is not possible. 

2. Christian Education

   • Those parents who prefer to have a Christian School educate their children based on Christian Values prefer this program. 

3. Affordability

   • Compared to the Physical Schools, the Lioncrest Online Academy is a fraction of the cost compared to International Schools in many cities. Many International Schools in cities in Dubai, Hyderabad, and Delhi start their costs around INR 6 Lakhs (around $7000) a year going up to Rs. 17 Lakhs ($20,000). There are big cost savings as the cost of facilities is removed and through the use of technology, we are able to make it more affordable. 

4. Sports or Music Concentrating Students

   • Some of our students have other programs they are interested in such as sports and music. They’re able to keep up with their academics online while keeping their priorities.
